Cruz was born and raised in the Verde Valley and pursued education at Arizona State University at W.P. Carey Business School graduating with a bachelors. During his studies he took CAD, and many arts and design courses and has always had a passion for home design. Eventually Cruz found his path of starting a drafting and design company and C.C. Home Design was founded.

With seven years of building and design experience Cruz has gained a great understanding of how design and construction need to cooperate with one another. Projects include accessory dwelling units, small multi family, remodels/additions and custom homes in Cottonwood, Clarkdale, Sedona, and Rimrock. Cruz has done work with all the building divisions in the Verde Valley and understands the necessary requirements to get an approved set of house plans.
